Soup Swap

Say that 10 times fast. It all started when I had a little chat with my lovely friend Jordan Sparks (she co-owns the best lil Jesus shop, Lily White, where she custom makes purses, dresses, you name it she makes it) about learning how to can foods. She came up with a better idea... A Soup Swap.

There was 6 of us and we all made different types of soups and enough for each person to walk away with a quart of each kind of soup. Plus a little extra to try and share there with salad, bread, and dessert. This made for a great lunch and a great time to just relax and hang out with friends. Each soup was so unique too. Some I would never think to make, but ended being really good. There was a delicious carrot ginger soup, pumpkin chili, taco soup, chicken noodle, lentil, and minestrone. And now we have 6 soups in the freezer just waiting to be defrosted and cooked in the winter. I can't wait!

We all had so much fun we're planning something similar in a month! I would call it a gift swap but were not swapping were going to spend the afternoon making Christmas gifts to give to family and friends this holiday (including handmade soap). Most of us are students and don't have a lot of extra money to be spending. So you can look forward to that post in the near future!

Have a happy Friday!
