Learning to Play Guitar... Again

My fingers are hurting that's for sure.... I've been feeling this nudge from God lately to pull out my guitar, dust it off, and start learning to play again. The funny thing was I especially had this nudge yesterday afternoon and had completely forgotten that later that night we were talking about worship at international small group. Our worship leader and his wife Michelle were going to be there to explain how and why we worship. As soon as I remembered that it clicked on why I had been feeling that nudge.

A year or 2 ago I felt that same nudge that God wanted me to learn how to play worship songs. With a little guidance from a friend on how to play a few chords I started playing songs... Well Taylor Swift songs because they were the easiest for me. Then busyness swept in and took over and my guitar had been sitting in storage.

So Last night after we had finished, I talked to Michelle and she encouraged me to start learning again, showed me a few chords, and gave me some really easy songs to practice. I started practicing and my hands are hurting, but it is totally worth it! I'm going to make time out of my busy schedule to practice and worship Him. That is our main goal after all, and there is nothing that can compare to worship. That is the time when I feel most close to Him so I should be making it a priority.

Let me just tell you that I am not musically inclined at all. Haven't played a instrument since 6th grade. So if I can do it you can do it. I hope to inspire y'all out there to give it a try, its really not that hard.
