Step one: Wash and chop up you fresh herbs finely.
Terrible lighting! This is what happens when you do stuff at night
Step 3: Place in the freezer for a few hours until frozen
See much better lighting!
Step 4: Pop them out of the ice cub tray and place in a ziplock bag. If your having trouble put some hot water on a cookie sheet and put ice cub tray on it for 30 seconds or so. Be careful they melt quickly. I did this then used a fork to get them out really easily.
Step 5: Place back in the freezer and whenever you want to use fresh herbs while your cooking just get one from the freezer and melt in the microwave or just put it on a skillet.

What a great idea. I think I am going to do this with my basil.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fantastic idea!
ReplyDeleteSounds great. But um, you might want to read your recipe. I don't know about you but I don't have anything in my kitchen called a cookie "sh#%" and I think it is an ice CUBE tray.
